Adallah Salha is Palestinian from Jabalia, the Gaza Strip who graduated from United World College Red Cross Nordic (UWCRCN), Fjaler, Norway in 2019, followed by his Global Citizen Year bridge-year program in Senegal. There, he received a full grant to launch and co-produce an English educational podcast and apprentice as a teaching assistant in its support. Due to COVID-19 and the siege on Gaza, Abdallah endured a challenging 6-week journey to return home from Senegal.
Previously, Abdallah has joined numerous organizations abroad to further explore human rights, solidarity and conflict resolution. Abdallah’s past experiences include working in interfaith, diverse environments, which have shaped his perception of the world and commitment to a safe, peaceful and prosperous future for all. His interest in international relations was ignited at an early age upon being selected to represent UNRWA students and the Palestine refugees to international organizations and high-ranking officials. Since that fortuitous start, he has continually worked on developing both personal and professional knowledge and skills to address humanitarian and global affairs.
Abdallah is currently volunteering as the Director of Communications at the Leonard Education Organization (LE.O) where he is assisting the Founder and Executive Director with media and community communications and sustainability. He is also a Research Intern at the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Relationship Management Intern at Global Citizen Year. He was accepted to a university in the United States but is still unable to travel and join his classmates. He wrote his poem "Precious,Yet Fragile" during the bombing of Gaza in May 2021.
