Caroline Bergvall - Writer and artist, works with voice, media and languages in cross-disciplinary ways. Her most noted and influential projects include the inter-genre live work and book Drift (2014-19), her recent Alisoun Sings (2019), the online collaborative event Night & Refuge (2020-21), as well as her award-winning multi-form explorations into minoritised languages and cultural transmigration Sonic Atlas (2016-2022). The recipient of many international awards and fellowships, of which a Cholmondeley Award (UK '17), a Bernard Heidsieck Literary Arts Centre Pompidou Award (Paris, ’17), a recent KWH Writers Fellowship (Philadelphia '22), she has just been granted a Global Professorial Fellowship, Queen Mary, London. Of French-Norwegian origins, currently based in London.
